What is Aero-X?
The Aero-X Hoverbike is a flight craft created by Aerofex, an aerospace engineering corporation based in Los Angeles. According to the manufacture, the vehicle can hover up 10 feet above the ground and travel at a maximum speed of 45 miles per hour (72.42 km/h); and regardless of speed, the Aero-X hoverbike can run for around 75 minutes on a full tank of fuel.
Technical Specifications of Aero-X
The rotor blades of Aero-X Hoverbike are much shorter compared to that of the helicopter and because of this, the vehicle is not operated with the same energy efficiency as a helicopter. It is much smaller in size and it makes it more convenient to be used near humans; and what is even more awesome? Anyone to fly even without pilot training.
The vehicle is designed to carry two passengers and it could also be used as an unmanned drone. Hopefully one day, this bike could be used for many purposes like in agricultural field work, delivering things to the places where it is impossible for humans to access and it could be used for search and rescue works.
When will Aero-X be released?
Aerofex announced that the commercial version of this bike will begin production in 2016 and is set to release in 2017. Aero-X hover bike may cost around $85,000.
