Teaching Robot How To Catch Objects On The Fly

Ultra-fast, the robotic arm developed by the researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute Of Technology In Lausanne (EPFL)can learn how to catch just about any object by analysing object’s shape and trajectory a few hundred times a second and construct a mathematical model of its own that allows itself to learn how to execute task in real-time.

How do you think this technology could be of help in the future?

    1. Agree. Perhaps, it could come handy in war; catching bombs thrown by enemies, provided they reprogram the robot to throw back the bombs to the enemies. 😉

What Do You Think?
