Ludum Dare or LD48 is an accelerated video game development competition. Participants develop games from scratch in a weekend, based on a theme suggested by community at the start of the contest.
Each entry must be created by a single person and source code much be produced within 48 hours, which after the end of the competition, participants are given three weeks to play and rate games created by their peers.
